Botox Cosmetic
Over the past two decades BOTOX® has become very well known for it’s safety profile and effectiveness. BOTOX® Cosmetic is injected under the skin into areas surrounding the eyes, forehead and mouth to relax and soften the appearance of fine wrinkles associated with crow’s feet, frown and smile lines, and lines on the neck. Made from a purified protein, FDA-approved BOTOX® relaxes wrinkles and gives the face a rejuvenated look. BOTOX® may also be useful for migraine headaches, excessive sweating, and eye and neck muscle spasms.
The Difference in Choosing The Center for Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at OHNI:
These days many physicians with no specific training in facial plastic surgery or dermatology administer BOTOX® treatments. This is often performed via the nursing staff. At The Center for Facial Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery at OHNI we take pride in our work and our results. Therefore, a board certified, fellowship trained facial plastic surgeon performs all of your BOTOX® injections. Secondly, it has been customary to charge BOTOX® injection by the units of medication injected. This method, however, can sometimes limit the amount of injection some patients can afford. Here, BOTOX®, injection is an all inclusive package. You pay for the results and not the units. Essentially, our physicians will be able to inject just the right amount of BOTOX® that you need. Your mind can be at ease knowing you will achieve the results you want without worrying about units. You can leave that to us.
Facial Fillers
When we are young, our skin is smooth and elastic with a healthy glow. But as we age, our ability to maintain that smoothness and elasticity diminishes, resulting in skin that becomes drier, thinner and less able to replenish itself. Our body’s natural collagen and hyaluronic acid levels decrease and our skin becomes looser. This leads to our skin wrinkling and appearing older than it should.
There are several available options to enhance the aging face including synthetic fillers or fat. Filling materials can be injected into the subcutaneous skin eliminating fine wrinkles and increasing lost volume. This can be done in the office, during a short outpatient procedure, often without any down time. Fat injections can be performed with local anesthesia and sedation and are usually performed with a full facial volume enhancement to lift the eyes and cheek areas.
The Difference in Choosing The Center for Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at OHNI:
Due to the high level of exposure in the media, use of these materials is accompanied with a fear of looking overdone or un-natural. Our philosophy is to accomplish a natural un-operated look that makes our patients appear rested and refreshed. As such, all available interventions are administered by a board certified and fellowship trained facial plastic surgeon. Choosing one of the experienced doctors at The Institute can help you achieve your desired results. We currently offer Juvéderm®, Restylane®, Radiesse®, Sculptra®, and fat.
Latisse Solution
What is LATISSE?
LATISSE® is a revolutionary new prescription treatment for thin, light, short lashes. LATISSE® is used to grow the eyelashes, making them longer, thicker and darker. Eyelash hypotrichosis is another name for having inadequate or not enough eyelashes.
How Does it Work?
LATISSE® is applied to the upper eyelashes daily using a small applicator brush. It then works from the inside out. With consistent use you’ll begin to first see changes in length. You will then gradually notice increased thickness and darkness of your lashes. You will start to notice longer, fuller, and darker lashes by week 8, but don’t stop there. After week 16, you’ll see the full effect of LATISSE® solution — and so will others. After that, you can talk to your doctor about ongoing use.
